Located off Highway 89 between Flagstaff and Cameron, these National Monuments were well worth the detour on my drive up to Page.
Sunset Crater in the southern end consists of cinder cones and lava flows from ancient volcanoes. Wupatki in the north consists of several well-preserved pueblos last occupied about 800 years ago.
