Andrew Wyeth's unique vision has been a strong influence on my own work, so I was especially moved by his passing on January 16th. At first glance, my work and his would seem to have very little in common - I'm a photographer, while Andrew worked in tempera and watercolor; much of my work features bold color, while most of Andrew's is subdued, almost monochromatic. But there is a spiritual and emotional depth to Andrew Wyeth's work that I, too, strive to express in my images.

The following collection of photographs features places that Andrew actually painted as well as scenes that I could imagine him painting.
